and the one on my mothers side was Celtic coming from the Brythonic Strathclyde Britons. This knowledge ignited  my interest in these peoples, and although proud and very interested in both heritage's I was more drawn to the  Anglo-Saxon side of me, perhaps due to the fact that I was born in England. This was narrowed down even more to what seemed the 'more obscure' period of pre-Christian England and continental Germania due to reading 'The Lost Gods of England' by Brian Branston which in turn gave me a special interest in the cults of Nerthus and Ing.

Well here is just a small page to give anyone with any interest a small bit of information concerning the gentleman who is behind this website. I've been interested in ancient British history since my early teens, particularly that concerning the Anglo-Saxons and the Celts. Why these
two peoples? well, I was born to an English father and a Scottish mother in Northern England, and at some stage I decided to look up the surname meanings of my family, and quite simply the one on my fathers side was Anglo-Saxon and contained the name Ælla
