Well here is just a small page to give anyone with any interest a small bit of information concerning the gentleman who is behind this website. I've been interested in ancient British history since my early teens, particularly that concerning the Anglo-Saxons and the Celts. Why these
two peoples? well, I was born to an English father and a Scottish mother in Northern England, and at some stage I decided to look up the surname meanings of my family, and quite simply the one on my fathers side was Anglo-Saxon and contained the name Ælla and the one on my mothers side was Celtic coming from the Brythonic Strathclyde Britons.
